In 2006, the law changed to allow NHS patients needing a hospital appointment a choice as to where they go for their treatment and when. TSS works closely with local hospitals and Primary Care Trusts (PCTs) to facilitate the choice pathway for patients.
Booking an appointment through a commissioned service such as audiology (hearing services) with TSS allows patients to experience high-quality treatment in first class facilities and receive well-planned, comprehensive care.
Patients are referred to TSS subject to a PCT's commissioning arrangements.
