Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon

Mr Mishreki is a consultant colorectal and general surgeon. His practice encompasses general surgery and colorectal surgery, along with providing regular endoscopy services.

Mr Mishreki qualified in medicine from The University of Birmingham, and carried out his early years following qualification in the West Midlands. He then completed his basic surgical training in the South West, before completing his higher surgical training back in the North East of England. Alongside completing his fellowship examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Mishreki also undertook a postgraduate Master of Surgery degree which he was awarded with merit.

Following the completion of his higher surgical training, Mr Mishreki undertook a year-long fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand. Here he further developed his sub-specialist interest of colorectal surgery, with a particular focus on advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) and minimally invasive surgical techniques, focusing on complex colorectal cancer surgery.

Mr Mishreki is now a consultant colorectal and general surgeon at University Hospital North Durham. His work covers the full remit of general surgical conditions, including hernia and gallbladder surgery, whilst focusing on colorectal surgery as his subspecialist area of practice. He offers both upper GI and lower GI endoscopic procedures.
