Mr Saleh trained in Plastic surgery in Yorkshire with a period as a registrar in South Africa.
He completed advanced sub-specialist training in microsurgery, head neck/facial reconstruction at the prestigious Princess Alexandra Hospital Brisbane Australia. He was also one of three nationally appointed General Medical Council approved Cosmetic surgery Interface fellows in 2015. In 2016 he was a DAFPRS scholar, where he gained advanced experience in complex nasal reconstruction/Septorhinoplasty in Vienna, sponsored by both the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic surgeons (BAAPs).
Mr Saleh is a consultant at Newcastle Hospitals NHS trust and is a member of the skin cancer, head and neck cancer and sarcoma teams.
He works with the Cochrane Skin group (skin.cochrane.org) and am the current holder (2015-16) of the Clarke Medal, an international prize awarded in conjunction with the Royal College for surgical innovation.
Mr Saleh has been a national and international invited speaker on skin cancer of the head neck and face, and in breast surgery. He has also published widely and has a particular interest in surgical anatomy. He commenced with Tyneside Surgical Services in January 2017. He holds his outpatient clinics on Friday afternoons at either Blaydon Primary Care Centre or main outpatients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and operates at the Peter Smith NHS Surgery Centre.
