Miss Sarah Kettle-Klenka qualified from the University of Sheffield Medical School in 1995.
After further surgical training, she became a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Sunderland Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2003.
Her special clinical interests are in hand and wrist trauma and elective surgery.
She is a member of the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association (BOTA) and the British Society for Surgery to the Hand (BSSH). Miss Kettle-Klenka is a clinical tutor for medical students from the Northern Deanery (Newcastle and Durham) medical schools.
Miss Kettle-Klenka has completed a two-year MD project for research into peripheral nerve regeneration and a fellowship at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby.
She is married with children and enjoys hill walking, running, snowboarding, skiing and sailing.
