Service delivery
Services are directly bookable on choose and book and clinics are identifiable by consultant. At present patients can choose from a wide range of routine orthopaedic appointments covering most orthopaedic specialties. This includes access to slots for Consultant Neuro Surgeons who specialise in spinal surgery. Procedures include non complex spines and cervical or lumbar fusions. Upper limb work includes routine procedures and shoulder and elbow replacements. We have clinicians who specialise in soft tissue repairs and total joint replacements and consultants with extensive expertise in foot and ankle surgery. This includes complex cases such as ankle replacements and ankle arthrodesis.
Access to on site facilities such as critical care and high dependency means that we can provide complex operative procedures and see and treat patients with co-morbidities.
The service portfolio will expand from July 1st 2011 (through AQP) to include general surgery, colo-rectal surgery, vascular surgery, breast surgery, oral surgery, plastic surgery and gynaecology and pain management. We will provide a directly bookable consultant led service across each of the specialities.
